Systems are inherently complex. DAD uses simple principles in data for full lifetime management.

Software Objects represent every item in a system.

They are individual digital twins

Each Object stores the data for its twin.  Data may be added or edited whenever the need arises.

The history log deters irresponsible behaviour.

Objects organised and connected in the  SIM (System Information Model) create a complete description of the real system.

The SIM and the system are digital twins.

The relationships and connections between the Objects are present in the SIM.

Software and other functions performed by the system are modelled in other Layers to the hardware.  Objects in different Layers can be linked to show how physical and functional features interact.

The SIM is a lifetime resource.

Work data can be entered to manage construction and maintenance activities.  User comments can be added as feedback and advice between teams.
