Introductory Video

DAD (Dynamic Asset Documentation) v9 is a multi-user application used for the design and subsequent asset management of power, control and ICT systems. It eliminates the manual preparation of drawings and lists for systems by allowing users to build virtual prototypes with all information required for system lifetime support.

DAD replaces drawings for power, control and ICT systems just like Google Earth replaces maps. Both deliver lower costs and greater accuracy by substituting a single virtual model for the traditional piles of documents and files.

Documentation of interconnected systems is a little studied area. Currently design drawings, lists and other files are manually prepared. Most files must be prepared in at the same time, yet their contents are related. The files refer to one another. Data is repeated many times. Collaboration is difficult. Inconsistency and omission is inevitable and results in delay and rework.
